First UK vs USA International Sneaker Battle!

This first entry from our new weekly International Sneaker Battle. The theme last week was straight up High Tops. US vs USA, who rocks it best. So the category allowed us to get real creative. Trying to pick a pair of shoes out of the rotation for battle was not such an easy decision to make, especially when you have no idea what shoe your coming up against! As it also did not matter if each side chose the same shoe, as it was all about who rocked it best.

Considering that between them, @Mrnikesb6 & @zayaX0712 have a wealthy following across the Pond, we still stood our ground for the UK. The sneakerscoundrels Duo @SoleSensei83 & myself @ukdeadstock came hard with our Choices. @Solesensei83 went with the Nike SB ‘unkle’ Pink box. Funnily enough, @Mrnikesb6 also went with the same choice. I ended up going with a really important shoe to me to kick the first battle off, The Nike SB ‘Skunks’ Blue Box. @ZayaX0712 went with the ‘Year of the Pig’ Dunk Hi’s sticking to the USA’s Pink theme. He also chose a crazy angle and sock combination. @Mrnikesb6 came with a white lace switch up but from the comments it seems @Solesensei83′s black lace choice was most loved. We saw a lot of love for the Skunks as many state side consider this as one of their Grails, but they did not like the ‘tongue out’ look. So all in all it was a good battle!

Votes and comments are still being taken on the images on instagram – so make sure you get involved. Come and follow us on Instagram and Twitter to ensure you don’t miss out. News: Nike SB ‘RIPSTOP’ Mid

I must say I am very excited about the recent picture I have seen which was circulated by Dom at Brooklyn Projects .

The news of a Nike SB ‘RIPSTOP’, the amazing material used to stop water and wind getting in but also letting your feet breathe is great for anyone living in the UK or other countries where rain always causes headaches when choosing what footwear to rock. Add into the mix that the mid strap is back along with the dope colour way this is a no brainer must have for any sneaker head.

Although there are no confirmed release dates I will be looking out for this one to release early 2013 hoping other crazy colour ways will also drop.

NEWS: BHM Nike SB Dunk Low x Theotis Beasley

The news of a much anticipated sneaker is finally here well 2013 at least,

The Black History Month collection from Nike has always been a HUGE success but for me has always be missing something… a dope BHM shoe for the Nike SB series… As it turns out the long wait could finally be over as Nike SB now looks to be following suit and joining that famous ’BHM’ group for the first time next year, with this Nike SB Dunk Low designed by team rider Theotis Beasley who you may remember produced his first crazy colour way Dunk SB in February last year. The colours used obviously being aimed at the highly known black red and green theme. There is no confirmation as yet whether this is a myth or will actually be released but enjoy this teaser picture and lets hope that this is the start of another positive move for Nike SB .

‘Step Your Game Up’ SHOOT with @GRMdaily & CrepCheck

During a meeting with the Guys at @GRMdaily, @DiddyPost one of the guys behind the Urban Entertainment Epicenter asked the enevitable question ‘Can i have a look?’ After spending the whole day before rearranging and cleaning up what stacks I had at home, I was a bit reluctant at first. After the Boxes started to open though i started to get into it.

I took out a few Jordan’s, recent Retro’s like the Black cement 3′s, metallic 5′s and True blue 3′s as I felt they were some of the best out of the last 2 years retro releases from the Jumpman. His eyes started to light up as more boxes opened, and more Heat came out. Some people think I am crazy the way I talk about shoe’s, but its part of the passion. Each kick that came out I described a short story about the details of it, when it came out what i did to get it, the value and so on, @DiddyPost was shocked.

For me, The Kicks that got me into collecting and the true passion of the ‘Sneakerhead’ Culture is of course Nike SB’s. I started pulling out what to me are some of my most cherished Gems. I thought why not, Tiffany Dunk low’s, Black Supreme Dunk Lows, Heineken’s, London’s. The List was endless. This was the first time I had taken a lot of kicks out and had them out in all their glory. So these pictures mean a lot, I know to most these names mean nothing, and to someone like me they mean everything. Which is another reason why i Love Sneakers so much. It was so much fun, talking about the history of shoe’s and the story behind them. It felt like I was teaching some students a lesson in Sneakerology!

As the stacks Pilled up, We got some interesting snaps and angles, I have uploaded some of the best ones, there are more to come, but we did not want to give to much away, as we will have some more ‘Sneaker Scoundrels Vault Shoot’ Photos coming Soon. : ) Just as well as @DiddyPost said, ‘Good luck packin’ all that away bruv!’

Todays Look: Kanye West x Kim Kardashian

Here we have the famous new couple taking a stroll. Kanye sporting banned Air Jordan 1′s which he has been seen in many times, maybe its a favorite of his and he has hundreds stacked at home. I wouldn’t be suprised. Wax / Leather look skinny jeans and a Dark heather loose neck baggy T shirt. Finished off with not 2 but numerous Rope Gold Chains and a gold bracelet.

Since the Couple have been together we have seen more and more leather on Kim. I think the whole ‘Mercy’ video style is really rubbing off on the 2 of them. Here she’s in a neat short leather Skirt, and plain neutral off white long sleeve top. Rumor has it they are working with Louis Vuitton together on a Shoe collaboration. But unfortunately for sneaker heads it likely to be a high heel shoe for the ladies. It’s good to see Kanye is still working hard on design and fashion after such success around his collaborations with Nike and LV previously. He is now branching out.

Supreme x Nike Air Force 1 set for November

Here is the follow up to Supreme’s last release of the Nike SB dunk low a few months back. The Air force 1. Here we see Camo, Black and olive Canvas options with Gum soles.White Nike tab on the tongue, as well as the trade mark Box logo in red on the side just tucked under the swoosh.

These look like very clean and well executed designs. It looks to us like they have used much better quality than the materials used on the highly anticipated Dunk Low. To say we were unimpressed with the materials used with them is an understatement. On the whole a good looking collaboration and we are glad Nike have seemed to up the quality levels. I would be stuck if or more like when having to choose between the 3 options. They are all very neat and we would happily rock any or all of them.

No doubt there will be a ridiculous hype around this release, like all other collaboration drops the Skate brand do. These are expected some time in November and prices or dates are not yet confirmed. We expect Supreme heads and collectors to be gathering around the store 24-48 hours before the launch.

*FOOT PATROL LDN x Asics Gel Saga II First Collaboration 22/09/2012*

Here we see a picture posted on Instagram By @Footpatrol_London of the stock arriving for their recent Collaboration with Japanese Brand Asics. We see a lot of collaborations come through the store so its good to see one that the store had a lot to do with. The concept took around 1 year to complete.  They used inspiration from their shop interior and craft of natural materials like wood, Metal and Rubber. They have also included a healthy size run to include girls / junior sizes which is great to see. FP provided some very detailed Photos which we have included to give you sneak peak. The quality looks really impressive.

So lets get into it, A gum outsole, with a off white gel cushioned midsole. Full suede camel coloured upper with blue accents on the side of the shoe, outsole, tongue and heel. The toe Box material is slightly perferated as well as the side panels. The suede looks very buttery.

The Footpatrol bar logo sits on the outer side of the heel on the left foot and on the inner side on the right foot. The trademark gas mask logo is seen on the heel on the right foot with the ASICS logo on the left foot.

The Footpatrol x ASICS Gel Saga II comes with two sets of alternate laces and a limited edition dust bag. Also, the first 100 customers who buy the shoe from FP will receive a limited edition numbered wooden shoe box.!

The Footpatrol x ASICS Gel Saga II is due to be released both in-store and on mail order on Saturday 22nd September. Sizes range from UK3.5 – UK10.5 (inc. half sizes) priced at £115.

NIKE SB ‘Concord Dunk’ Low Via Brooklyn Projects

Oh yes indeed. This teaser thanks to Brooklyn Projects has got us happy. Recent Nike SB releases have been mixed quality, we have seen some being great (Space Jam dunk low), and others a little more disapointing (Supreme dunk low 2012 )

After the success of the Nike SB Space Jam Dunk Low, it seems the inspiration has fueled another Jordan XI colorway. Brooklyn Projects has shared teaser pics of  a forthcoming Dunk Low inspired by the Jordan XI Concord.
